4 Pussers Navy Rum Cocktails for the Spring

Spring is coming up soon, and with it comes a whole host of different occasions to celebrate. If you have some big parties coming up, you might want some new cocktail recipes to spice things up.

Are you trying to mix up some new rum cocktails this year? Don't worry - there are so many options for you.

Let's go through how to create the best Pussers navy rum drinks.

1. Painkiller Cocktail

A painkiller is a tropical cocktail made with rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and coconut cream. The drink is garnished with a sprinkle of nutmeg and a cherry or pineapple slice. Painkillers are said to have originated in the British Virgin Islands, specifically from the Soggy Dollar Bar on the White Bay.

To make the drink, combine dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and coconut cream. Shake the combination well with ice. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Sprinkle nutmeg on top of the drink. Garnish with a pineapple slice or cherry. You can see our exact recipe here

2. Rum Punch

If you're trying to make a drink that can serve a large group of people, rum punch is an easy choice. A standard recipe typically contains rum, fruit juice, and a sweetener such as sugar or simple syrup.

You can also make more creative recipes if you feel like spicing things up with Pussers British navy rum. You can find our recipe here.

For something more sophisticated, try out a peach tea-centered rum punch. You use peach liqueur along with lemonade and English Breakfast tea for a drink that's perfect for the early spring.

Or, if you love soda, create a sparkling rum punch by adding sparkling wine or clear soda to your British navy Pussers rum.

3. Mai Tai

A Mai Tai is a tropical cocktail made with rum, lime juice, orange liqueur, and various syrups and garnishes. The name "Mai Tai" means "out of this world" in Tahitian, and the drink is said to have originated at Trader Vic's restaurant in 1944.

A classic mai tai recipe combines dark rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, orgeat syrup, simple syrup, and mint sprig as a garnish. To make your mai tai, in a shaker, combine the dark rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, orgeat syrup, and simple syrup.

Shake well with ice. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Use some extra rum to float on top of the drink. You can find our recipe here.

4. Rum Swizzle

Another sweet drink perfect for spring is the Rum Swizzle. This drink contains both dark and light rum. You also need orange juice, lemon juice, and pineapple juice, along with falernum and bitters.
