Rum Sour

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Pusser's Rum
  • 1 Egg White (optional)
  • ¾ oz. Lemon Juice
  • ¾ oz. Simple Syrup
  • Lemon Slice, Maraschino Cherry, Mint Sprig - to garnish

Directions

  1. Add the rum, lemon juice and simple syrup and egg white (optional) to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold
  2. Strain through a mesh strainer into a cup with ice, garnish with a lemon slice, maraschino cherry and mint if desired

Rum Sour Cocktail

Sours have been around for many generations. Most commonly you hear of the whiskey sour, but not as often, the rum sour. This relative of the whiskey sour uses the same ingredients and replaces rum for whiskey. If you enjoy a whiskey sour but prefer the flavors of rum, this is the drink for you. A simple cocktail with a very old heritage gives you a classic taste with todays ingredients.
