The cocktail's name is said to have come from its ability to cure a hangover or any other type of pain. It quickly became a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

Other bars in the area eventually began serving their own version of the drink.

Today, people from all over the world enjoy the Pusser's Painkiller cocktail. It is a staple at beach parties, tropical resorts, and other gatherings where people share party cocktails.

The Pussers Painkiller Recipe 

To make a Pusser's Painkiller cocktail, you will need five simple ingredients: Pusser's rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut and freshly grated nutmeg.

To prepare the cocktail, you'll need to combine the rum, pineapple juice, orange juice and cream of coconut in a shaker with ice and shake well until thoroughly mixed.

First, pour two ounces of Pusser's rum into the shaker, followed by four ounces of pineapple juice, one ounce of orange juice, and one ounce of cream of coconut.

Add a generous amount of ice to the shaker, then close the lid and shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds.

Next, strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice. Garnish the cocktail with a sprinkle of grated nutmeg and a slice of pineapple or orange, if desired.
