The daiquiri, with its many variations, is a truly classic cocktail that does not disappoint, particularly in the warmer months of the year (though they can be enjoyed year round). The standard daiquiri requires just three main ingredients (two if you’re more of an Ernest Hemingway type): rum, sugar, and citrus. We’ve rounded up a few of the simplest, tastiest daiquiris that require little to no effort at all to make, but don’t skimp on flavour. Give one a try, and let us know how you like it.
Start with a Dark Hemingway Daiquiri:
2 ounces Pusser’s Rum Blue Label
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled Martini glass.
If you’re in the mood for something tart, treat yourself to a Grapefruit Daiquiri:
2 ounces Pusser’s Rum
1/2 freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1/4 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce lime juice
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well. Pour into a cocktail glass.
For something fruity, try a Lime & Strawberry Daiquiri:
¼ cup lemon lime soda
6 cups ice
½ cup white sugar
1/8 cup lime juice
½ cup lemon juice
¾ cup rum
In a blender, combine ice, sugar and strawberries. Pour lemon and lime juice, rum, and lemon-lime soda into blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with lime (optional).
For something tropical, go for a Coconut Daiquiri
1-1 1/4 ounces Pusser’s Rum
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon slice.
