January’s Featured Cocktails

As the seasons change, so do our taste for cocktails. Every month we’re going to be featuring a few of our favorite seasonal cocktails.

Pusser’s Midnight Oil

1 1/2 oz (~44 mL) Pusser’s Gunpowder Proof Rum
3/4 oz (~22 mL) coffee
1/4 oz (~7 mL) ginger liqueur
1/4 oz (~7 mL) banana liqueur
3 dashes vanilla extract

Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a banana slice.

Pusser’s Winter Cocktail

2 oz. (~60 mL) Pusser’s Rum
1/2 oz. (~15 mL) lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon ginger liqueur
1 teaspoon pimento dram
2 dashes Angostura bitters

In a cocktail shaker, combine the rum, juice, sugar, and liqueurs and filled with ice.
Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Add dashes of bitters on top.

Pusser’s Rum Flip

2 oz. (~60 mL) Pusser’s Rum
1/2 oz. (~15 mL) Demarara Syrup
1 Whole Egg
Nutmeg for Garnish

Add all ingredients except for the nutmeg into a shaker tin.
Dry shake for at least one minute. Crack the tin and add ice.
Shake the drink in the tin for an additional minute (at least).
Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer.
Using a microplane zester, grate fresh nutmeg over the top of the drink

Pusser’s Old Cuban

1 oz. (~30 mL) Pusser’s Rum
½ oz. (~15 mL) Lime Juice
½ oz. (~15 mL) Simple Syrup
2oz. (~60 mL) Sparkling Wine
10 Mint Leaves
Mint Spring for Garnish

In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine an ounce of rum, half an ounce of
fresh lime juice, half an ounce of simple syrup, and 10 mint leaves.
Shake all that up and double-strain into a coupe or champagne flute.
Top with two ounces of sparkling wine and garnish with a mint sprig.
